Accompanying young people, focusing on digitalisation and a sense of community<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

The project was launched in 2022 within the premises of the Parish of Madonna di Pompei<\/strong> in Turin. To date, four Carlo Acutis Digital Labs have been established in Turin:<\/p>\n\n\n

  • May 2023<\/strong>: at the Parish of Sant\u2019Antonio Abate<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • October 2023<\/strong>: at the Salesian Oratory Michele Rua<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • October 2024<\/strong>: at the Parish of San Giovanni Maria Vianney<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • May 2025<\/strong>: at the Salesian Oratory San Luigi<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

    The oratory becomes a digital lab<\/strong>, to offer the youth of the new millennium a community, the chance to shape values and to create employment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    With the support of the Carlo Acutis Foundation, the Diocese of Turin is creating a truly exceptional, original experience, conceived in such a way as to be replicated in other settings, and on different scales and offering a new way to tap into the potential of digital culture in order to rise to the challenges of our time, tackling both new forms of poverty among the young <\/strong>and the digital divide <\/strong>that affects the elderly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Details<\/summary>\n

    Poverty that regards relationships, experiences, opportunities: the same social questions in which Saint Carlo Acutis<\/strong> invested his energy; and it is no coincidence that one of the classrooms in the permanent cultural workshop in the Pompei Student Lab of Turin is named after this exceptional young man, because his life has also become an inspiration<\/strong> for the digital lab project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Digital Lab will promote attention to the new generations (cultivating their potential), digitalisation (serving the common good and the neediest sections of the population) and the community (encouraging and facilitating encounters between different generations, specifically between the young and the elderly).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Carlo Acutis Foundation has lent its support to the Digital Lab project since the beginning, seeking to establish a place with the mission to create opportunities for young people and promote inclusion for all ages<\/strong>, not only within the framework of study and research, but with a view to aiding the construction of a career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The aspiration is for Turin to become a model<\/strong> for many other places, both in Italy and worldwide.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n
