A home for children left alone, regardless of religion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n

The Non-Profit Organisation<\/strong> Bambino Ges\u00f9 del Cairo <\/strong>is funding the construction of the \u201cOasi della Piet\u00e0\u201d orphanage<\/strong> in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt, near Cairo (work began in February 2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work, which belongs to the Catholic Coptic Church in Egypt, will also comprise the construction of a children\u2019s hospital that will be supported by the Bambino Ges\u00f9 hospital in Rome, and is part of a broader project to foster dialogue between the Holy See and Egypt, and with the Islamic world in general<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cOasi della Piet\u00e0\u201d<\/strong> Orphanage<\/strong> will provide children and young people who have no assistance from their families with a residential facility where they can be taken care of, protected, and accompanied along the road to healthy growth and educational development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will aim to develop their physical, mental, language and social skills, thus helping to improve their lives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Details<\/summary>\n

The Orphanage will welcome all children, regardless of religion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foundation will take part in the construction of the chapel of the orphanage (total estimated cost \u20ac 540,000). The chapel will have a\u00a0strong connection with the figure of Saint Carlo Acutis<\/strong>, and a statue of him \u2013 recently blessed by the Pope \u2013 will be permanently housed inside, symmetrical to a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, following a pilgrimage of hope through the dioceses of Egypt.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work on the Orphanage began in August 2020, and despite the pandemic, 70% of the masonry work had been completed<\/strong> by September 2021.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n
